PROOF: Breakfast Is The Most Important Meal Of The Day

This is a Post from the Symbol Surfing Blog from Tue, Aug 28, 2018.

What is the most important meal of the day?

Breakfast Is The Most Important Meal Of The Day.

We have all heard the expression or quote before.

I would like to provide actual proof that this is true.

As an added challenge, I will not cite any scientific or medical research of any kind.

You see for many years a popular restaurant chain stopped serving breakfast and started serving lunch at 10:30am on weekdays and at 11am on Saturday and Sunday.

How do I know this? Nevermind.

Oh, this restaurant is McDonald's.

I remember some people were completely outraged by this policy.

(These same people are currently outraged by the Polish Hotdog fiasco from Mon, Aug 20, 2018.)

I mean why can't I get pancakes at 4pm? Like why not?

On October 6, 2015, there was this news headline.

McDonald's to start all-day breakfast nationally on Oct. 6

The stock price that day was $101.90.

Fast forward 3 years and the stock price is $163.15.

$163.15 - $101.90 = $61.25

$61.25 / $101.90 = 0.60

The 3 year return since introducing all day breakfast is 60%.

In summary, this is solid proof that breakfast (& breakfast alone?) created a 60% bump in the stock price.

This represents almost a $50 billion increase in market cap.

I sincerely doubt lunch or dinner could ever do that.

Have you ever had a cheeseburger for breakfast? Answer: No.

Have you ever had pancakes for dinner? Answer: Yes, of course!

So yeah, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

The all-time high was $178.70 on Mon, Jan 29, 2018.

After the sell off, the stock has been moving sideways in a trading range maybe gathering steam for another run.

I'm betting it's time to get into this Dow Jones stock and Dividend Aristocrat.

I'm also hungry for some breakfast.
